Job summary

The Arc of Washington County - MD in Washington County, MD is seeking dedicated caregivers to provide person-centered support for adults with IDD. You will assist with daily living activities, meals, light housekeeping, and medication support, helping individuals live more independent and meaningful lives.

Shifts vary—days, evenings, overnights, and weekends—with a pay rate starting at $19.25/hr. A valid driver’s license and driving experience are required, plus successful background checks and

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18+ years old
• Valid driver's license and a minimum of two years driving experience in the US (not a learner's permit)
• Ability to pass a basic Math & Reading Comprehension test (CMT Entry)
• Ability to pass background check and pre-employment screenings (drug screen, physical & ergonomic assessments)
• Able to attend three weeks + three days of New Hire Training (Mon-Fri) 8:30AM-5PM
• Caring, dependable, teamwork, mission-driven
• Basic computer skills for documentation purposes

Job Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Schedule: Varied Schedules (Days: 8AM-3PM, Evenings: 2PM-11PM, Overnights: 10PM-10AM & Weekends)
Pay Rate: Starts at $19.25/hr (Higher based upon experience)

Position Description:

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18+ years or older
• Valid driver's license and A MINIMUM of two (2) years driving experience in the US REQUIRED (not a learner's permit)
• Previous I/DD experience and behavioral management experience within I/DD communities or similar settings
• Ability to pass with a 70% score on a basic Math & Reading Comprehension Testing (CMT Entry)
• Ability to pass background check, pre-employment health screenings (drug screen, physical & ergonomic assessments)
• Can FULLY attend three (3) weeks + three (3) days consecutively of New Hire Training (Monday-Friday: 8:30AM-5PM)
• Caring, dependable, teamwork, mission-driven
• Basic understanding of computer skills for documentation purposes
