Job summary

The Arc of Washington County - MD in Hagerstown, MD is hiring a Part-Time Direct Support Professional for our Outreach Program. The role provides flexible, drop-in support in community and home settings, with afternoon/evening hours and 20-29 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 18+ with high school diploma or GED.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with 2+ years of driving experience.
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, physical, and basic reading/math test.
• Comfortable working independently in a variety of home and community settings.
• Available for required paid training.

What You’ll Do:

• Support individuals living independently or with family in the community
• Encourage development of independent living skills
• Promote participation in community, social, and recreational activities
• Provide companionship, guidance, and flexible drop-in support
• Ensure accurate documentation of goals and outcomes
• Offer safe, reliable transportation when needed

Note: This position does not include medication administration.

Who We’re Looking For:

• 18+ with high school diploma or GED
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with 2+ years of driving experience (not on a permit)
