Job summary

Hope Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Lapeer, MI for a full-time 3rd shift. The role focuses on helping individuals gain independence and community integration through daily living support and activity participation.

You will assist with mobility, personal care, health monitoring, and community activities while maintaining trust, empathy, and strong teamwork with the care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid State of Michigan driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Shift Full-Time / Part Time including weekends and holidays.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety 24/7 with on-site checks.
• Support crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution.
• Establish collaborative relationships built on trust and empathy.
• Foster partnership with individuals served, community, and professionals.
• Assist individuals with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Monitor vitals and report medical conditions.
• Attend medical appointments and relay information to the care team.
• Document care plans and progress accurately.
