Job summary

Hope Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for full-time, 40 hours on the Millville Place site in Lapeer, MI. This role supports individuals in achieving independence and community integration while performing personal care and daily living tasks.

Responsibilities include safety monitoring, crisis prevention, and assisting with transportation, appointments, and community engagement. A strong emphasis is placed on empathy, teamwork, and reliable, respectful communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Michigan driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain.
• Shift availability: full-time or part-time, including weekends and holidays.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and ensure safety 24/7.
• Support crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution.
• Establish collaborative relationships with individuals served and staff.
• Help individuals identify and participate in social and leisure activities.
• Assist with activities of daily living (getting to places, dressing, bathing, etc.).
• Attend medical appointments and relay information to the care team.
