Job summary

Hope Network is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for Millville Place in Lapeer, MI. The 2nd shift is full-time, offering the chance to help individuals build independence and participate in community activities.

You will support daily living tasks, monitor safety, and collaborate with a care team to implement plans. Requires empathy, reliability, and a commitment to ongoing learning and growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid State of Michigan driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with activities of daily living.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred or required.
• Shift availability includes full-time hours, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide Direct Support to individuals, promoting independence and community participation.
• Monitor safety 24/7 and respond to crises with care and empathy.
• Assist with daily living activities (mobility, hygiene, nutrition, etc.).
• Attend medical appointments and communicate needs to the care team.
• Document care plans and progress accurately and timely.
• Support participants in social, recreational, and vocational activities.
• Build trusted relationships with individuals and families served.
