Job summary

The Charles Lea Center seeks compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help individuals with disabilities live full, independent lives. You’ll work in client homes, supporting daily living, personal care, meals, and medication administration.

This first-shift role offers a consistent schedule and a competitive pay rate of $18.03 per hour. The Center provides paid training, health insurance, a 401(k), PTO, sick time, tuition reimbursement, and growth opportunities in a supportive team

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred (DSP, CNA, PCA, RBT, Med Tech, Caregiver).
• Valid driver’s license and Social Security number.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.
• Ability to pass required background and reference checks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living skills, grooming, meals, personal care, and medication administration.
• Support individuals in activities, community outings, and skill-building.
• Promote independence and dignity in every interaction.
• Document daily notes, training steps, and updates in Therap.

Aboutthe Role:

As a DSP, you’ll work in a residential setting, in the client's home, supporting individuals with disabilities in their daily lives. Your responsibilities may include:

• Assist with daily living skills, grooming, meals, personal care, and medication administration.

• Document daily notes, training steps, and updates in Therap.

1st Shift Availability Required

• Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

What You’ll Need:

Work Location Flexibility:

While this position is assigned to client homes living in our Washington, NC locations, All Direct Support Professionals may be required to work at other Charles Lea Center sites as needed based on staffing and operational needs.

Physical Requirements:
