Job summary

Charles Lea Center is hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist clients in their homes across Wilmington, Leland, and Hampstead, NC. You’ll help with daily living activities, personal care, and documentation, promoting independence and dignity.

You’ll work in client homes, participate in community activities, and follow safety policies. We offer paid training, growth opportunities, and a competitive wage with a weekend differential and a $1,250 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred (DSP, CNA, PCA, RBT, Med Tech, Caregiver)
• Basic computer and documentation skills
• Ability to pass required background and reference checks
• High school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living skills, grooming, meals, personal care, and medication administration.
• Support individuals in activities, community outings, and skill-building.

Aboutthe Role:

As a DSP, you’ll work in a residential setting, in the client's home, supporting individuals with disabilities in their daily lives. Your responsibilities may include:

• Assist with daily living skills, grooming, meals, personal care, and medication administration.

• Document daily notes, training steps, and updates in Therap.

What You’ll Need:

• Minimum age: 18
• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2–4 years of relevant experience preferred (DSP, CNA, PCA, RBT, Med Tech, Caregiver)
• Valid driver’s license and Social Security number
• Basic computer and documentation skills
• Ability to pass required background and reference checks

Work Location Flexibility:

While this position is assigned to client homes living in our Wilmington, Leland or Hampstead, NC locations, All Direct Support Professionals may be required to work at other Charles Lea Center sites as needed based on staffing and operational needs.
