Job summary

Hope Network / New Hope I is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for the 1st shift in Flint, MI. This full-time on-site position supports individuals in daily living, community participation, and personal care.

You will collaborate with the care team to promote independence, safety, and meaningful activities, including transport to community events and appointments. Relevant certifications and a stable schedule are provided by the employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid State of Michigan driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Shift Full-Time / Part Time including weekends and holidays.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor safety 24/7 and perform checks as needed.
• Support crisis prevention, intervention, and resolution.
• Build trust through consistent, empathetic communication.
• Help individuals engage with community activities and transport.
• Assist with activities of daily living and basic tasks.
• Attend medical appointments and relay information accurately.
• Document care plans and progress clearly.
• Support community participation and educational goals.
