Job summary

WE SUPPORT YOU LLC in Westfield, NJ is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to support individuals with disabilities through personalized care and daily tasks, helping them achieve personal goals.

You will transport clients, assist with daily living activities, and collaborate with families and the care team while maintaining a patient, person-centered approach.

This role requires flexibility, a valid driver's license, and willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Prior experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and complete DSP training.
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and assistance to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
• Support clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) to help clients reach personal goals.
• Transport and accompany clients to appointments, community outings, and recreational activities.
• Foster independence and self-advocacy skills in the individuals you support.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members.

About the Role:

WE SUPPORT YOU LLC is looking for a compassionate and dedicated male Direct Support Professional to join our team in Westfield, NJ. In this rewarding role, you'll make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities by providing personalized care and support. Schedule:

• Monday & Friday 1pm-4pm: Individual and Community Based Supports
• Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday: 2pm pick up Individual in Edison and bring them home to Westfield for Individual and Community Based supports until 4pm. Mileage reimbursement.
