WE SUPPORT YOU LLC in Lincoln Park, NJ is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team. The role involves providing personalized care to individuals with disabilities, fostering independence, and supporting daily activities in a compassionate, person-centered way.

The position requires a willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Experience in direct support or caregiving preferred.
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification.
• Valid driver's license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and assistance to individuals with disabilities.
• Support clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meals, and household tasks.
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) to help clients reach personal goals.
• Transport and accompany clients to appointments, community outings, and recreational activities.
• Administer medications and maintain documentation per care guidelines.
• Foster independence and self-advocacy skills in individuals you support.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members.

Schedule:

Saturdays - flexible hours (11am-3pm)

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and assistance to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities
• Support clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks
• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) to help clients reach personal goals
• Transport and accompany clients to appointments, community outings, and recreational activities
• Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation per care guidelines
• Foster independence and self-advocacy skills in the individuals you support
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Prior experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach
• Willingness to obtain CPR/First Aid certification and complete required DSP training
• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
