Job summary

WE SUPPORT YOU LLC in North Haledon, NJ is hiring Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with disabilities across several NJ counties. You will provide personalized care, assist with daily living activities, and support community integration.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and CPR/First Aid certification; valid driver's license preferred. You will work flexible shifts and document progress in ISPs, while collaborating with families and the care team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Prior experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care and assistance to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD)


• Support clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks


• Implement individualized support plans (ISPs) and document progress accurately


• Assist with community integration, transportation, and recreational activities


• Administer medications and monitor health needs per established protocols


• Communicate effectively with supervisors, families, and care team members


• Respond appropriately to behavioral challenges using approved intervention techniques

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required


• Prior experience in direct support, caregiving, or human services preferred


• Valid driver\'s license and reliable transportation preferred


• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening


• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)


• Strong interpersonal skills with a patient, empathetic, and person-centered approach


• Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
