LIFE, Inc. - Wilmington is hiring a Direct Support Professional to assist and monitor clients in daily activities, self-care, meals, and transportation needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• NC driver's license required.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients with self-care activities including dressing, bathing, and toileting.
• Support clients during meals and encourage family-style dining.
• Assist with housekeeping, clothing care, and yard work.
• Help prepare meals and nutritional supplements.
• Administer prescribed medications as directed without error.
• Follow prescribed diet orders and use adaptive equipment as needed.
• Record data and participate in behavior programs and safety procedures.
• Support interdisciplinary team communication and transport clients as directed.
• Accompany clients on community outings and day program activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Shift Details: Part Time PRN (as Needed)

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients while dressing, bathing, toileting, and in all other aspects of self-care.
• Assist and monitor clients during meals to ensure utilization of family style dining.
• Assist and monitor clients in all aspects of housekeeping responsibilities (Clothing care, house cleaning, and yard care).
• Assist and monitor clients in preparing meals and nutritional supplements.
• Assist and monitor clients in the administration of prescribed medication without error.
• Assist and monitor clients in the implementation of prescribed diet orders and utilization of adaptive equipment
• Implement and follow all established behavior programs, data collection, and established safety procedures.
• Assist and monitor clients in appropriate active treatment including training objective plans, recording data, and implementing service goals.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team and to communicate appropriate clients information as directed by supervisory staff.
• Transport and monitor clients on Company vehicles as directed.
• Assist and monitor clients during community outings.
• Assist and monitor clients during participation at school and day program activities.
• Other tasks as assigned by managers.

Qualifications
