Hireology is seeking a Direct Support Professional in New Bern, NC to provide compassionate care and support for clients in daily activities. The role involves assisting with self-care, meals, transportation, and community activities on a 2nd shift, full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
• NC Driver's License.
• 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients with self-care activities.
• Assist during meals and dining.
• Help with housekeeping (clothing care, house cleaning, yard care).
• Assist with meals and nutritional supplements.
• Administer prescribed medications without error.
• Follow prescribed diet orders and adaptive equipment.
• Implement behavior programs, data collection, and safety procedures.
• Assist with training objectives and recording data.
• Communicate client information to supervisory staff as directed.
• Transport clients in company vehicles.
• Support clients during community outings.
• Support clients during school/day program activities.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Shift Details

• 2nd Shift Full Time 1on1
• 2nd Shift Full Time

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients while dressing, bathing, toileting, and in all other aspects of self-care.
• Assist and monitor clients during meals to ensure utilization of family style dining.
• Assist and monitor clients in all aspects of housekeeping responsibilities (Clothing care, house cleaning, and yard care).
• Assist and monitor clients in preparing meals and nutritional supplements.
• Assist and monitor clients in the administration of prescribed medication without error.
• Assist and monitor clients in the implementation of prescribed diet orders and utilization of adaptive equipment
• Implement and follow all established behavior programs, data collection, and established safety procedures.
• Assist and monitor clients in appropriate active treatment including training objective plans, recording data, and implementing service goals.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team and to communicate appropriate clients information as directed by supervisory staff.
• Transport and monitor clients on Company vehicles as directed.
• Assist and monitor clients during community outings.
• Assist and monitor clients during participation at school and day program activities.
• Other tasks as assigned.
