Job summary

Hireology in Edenton, NC is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist clients with daily self-care, meals, medications, and community activities. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, follow prescribed care plans, and help maintain safety and data records.

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School Diploma or GED.
• NC Driver's License is required.
• 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients with self-care activities (dressing, bathing, toileting).
• Assist during meals to ensure family style dining and nutrition.
• Support housekeeping tasks including clothing, cleaning, and yard work.
• Assist with meal preparation and nutritional supplements.
• Administer prescribed medications without error under supervision.
• Follow diet orders and adaptive equipment usage as directed.
• Implement behavior programs and safety procedures.
• Support and document treatment plans and goals with data collection.

Shift Details: 1st and 2nd Part Time

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients while dressing, bathing, toileting, and in all other aspects of self-care.
• Assist and monitor clients during meals to ensure utilization of family style dining.
• Assist and monitor clients in all aspects of housekeeping responsibilities (Clothing care, house cleaning, and yard care).
• Assist and monitor clients in preparing meals and nutritional supplements.
• Assist and monitor clients in the administration of prescribed medication without error.
• Assist and monitor clients in the implementation of prescribed diet orders and utilization of adaptive equipment
• Implement and follow all established behavior programs, data collection, and established safety procedures.
• Assist and monitor clients in appropriate active treatment including training objective plans, recording data, and implementing service goals.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team and to communicate appropriate clients information as directed by supervisory staff.
• Transport and monitor clients on Company vehicles as directed.
• Assist and monitor clients during community outings.
• Assist and monitor clients during participation at school and day program activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
