Job summary

Life Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work part-time on 1st and 2nd shifts in North Carolina. The role involves assisting clients with daily self-care, meals, medications, and community activities while following safety and behavior plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients with self-care activities including dressing, bathing, and toileting.
• Assist during meals and ensure family-style dining is observed.
• Help with housekeeping tasks and clothing care.
• Support meal preparation and nutritional supplement usage.
• Assist with prescribed medication administration and diet orders as directed.
• Follow established behavior programs, data collection, and safety procedures.
• Support active treatment goals, record data, and help implement service plans.
• Communicate client information to the supervisory team as needed.
• Transport clients in company vehicles and supervise community outings.
• Support clients during school and day program activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Shift Details: 1st and 2nd Part Time

Responsibilities

• Assist and monitor clients while dressing, bathing, toileting, and in all other aspects of self-care.
• Assist and monitor clients during meals to ensure utilization of family style dining.
• Assist and monitor clients in all aspects of housekeeping responsibilities (Clothing care, house cleaning, and yard care).
• Assist and monitor clients in preparing meals and nutritional supplements.
• Assist and monitor clients in the administration of prescribed medication without error.Assist and monitor clients in the implementation of prescribed diet orders and utilization of adaptive equipment
• Implement and follow all established behavior programs, data collection, and established safety procedures.
• Assist and monitor clients in appropriate active treatment including training objective plans, recording data, and implementing service goals.
• Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team and to communicate appropriate clients information as directed by supervisory staff.
• Transport and monitor clients on Company vehicles as directed.
• Assist and monitor clients during community outings.
• Assist and monitor clients during participation at school and day program activities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
