Job summary

Easter Seals of Tennessee is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to help people with disabilities learn, work and play in their communities. Based in person-supported homes, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene and medication administration.

Weekend shifts are available (Sat/Sun 6 AM–6 PM and 6 PM–6 AM). The starting rate is $15/hour with a $1 weekend shift premium, plus bonuses and comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance.
• Basic computer skills.
• Pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and personal hygiene.
• Assist with medication administration and support with community involvement.
• Support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff.

At the end of your workday, you know you have made a difference in someone's life. Based in our person supported home, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
