Job summary

Easter Seals Tennessee is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to help individuals with disabilities learn, work, and enjoy life in their communities. Based in person-supported residences, DSPs assist with daily activities, meals, personal hygiene, and medication administration.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must have valid automobile insurance.
• Pass a background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation and personal hygiene.
• Support individuals in the community and facilitate involvement.
• Assist with medication administration and support therapeutic/behavioral plans with clinical staff.

• Weekend Day Shift Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9 AM - 9 PM
• Weekend Night Shift, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 9 PM - 9 AM

Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are the exemplary reflection of the wonderful mission-driven work we do here every day. At the end of your workday, you know you have made a difference in someone’s life. Based in our person supported home, DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration. DSPs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community. In addition, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
