Easterseals PORT Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional in Hampstead, NC. This part-time role involves providing personal care, companionship, and helping consumers build independence in home and community settings.

You will document daily activities in an electronic format and collaborate with families to reach goals, with day and weekend shifts in a local, on-site role. A high school diploma is required and a valid NC driver’s license is preferred.

Work Setting: On-site, in home and travel within the local community to meet the needs of the consumer you would be supporting

As a Direct Support Professional, you’ll have the opportunity to build meaningful connections with the individuals you support every day. What You’ll Do

• Support the consumer with personal care needs and companionship
• Document daily activities and goals met in an electronic format
• Coordinate and collaborate with the family of the consumer to work on goals that promote independence, socialization and overall personal development

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who brings the experience, skills, and commitment needed to succeed in this role.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s license, reliable transportation and vehicle insurance required
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred, but not required.
• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability are a must!
