Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Castle Hayne, NC is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join our Individual and Community Services team on a part-time basis. You will support individuals in their homes and communities, helping them build independence and engage in meaningful activities.

The role emphasizes compassionate, person-centered care with opportunities to collaborate with families and other team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license, reliable transportation and vehicle insurance required.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred, but not required.
• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability are a must!

Responsibilities

• Support the consumer with personal care needs and companionship.
• Document daily activities and goals met in an electronic format.
• Coordinate and collaborate with the family of the consumer to work on goals that promote independence, socialization and overall personal development

Pay: $15/hour

Work Setting: On-site, in home and travel within the local community to meet the needs of the consumer you would be supporting
