Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Cary, NC is seeking a Direct Support Professional to join the Individual and Community Services team. You will support individuals in their homes and local community, helping them build independence and pursue meaningful activities.

The role is part-time, on-site, with weekday and weekend openings. Requires a high school diploma, NC driver’s license, and a compassionate, dependable approach to care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid North Carolina driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred, but not required.

What You’ll Do

• Support the consumer with personal care needs and companionship
• Document daily activities and goals met in an electronic format
• Coordinate and collaborate with the family of the consumer to work on goals that promote independence, socialization and overall personal development

What You Bring

We’re looking for someone who brings the experience, skills, and commitment needed to succeed in this role.

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid North Carolina Driver’s license, reliable transportation and vehicle insurance required
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities preferred, but not required.
• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability are a must!
