Job summary

Spectrum Community Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide compassionate, on-site coordination of active treatment in AFs or CLS homes or private residences in West Olive/Grand Haven, MI. The role involves helping clients with daily living activities, cooking, cleaning, community integration, health, and personal care.

Experience with people with disabilities is preferred; extensive training including CPR/FA is provided.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to provide two work references demonstrating good performance and attendance.
• Must have a valid Michigan Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Must have reliable and ongoing transportation.
• Successful completion of a comprehensive background check including fingerprinting, medical clearance (TB test, drug screen & physical exam), and MILTC screening clearance.

About the role

Spectrum Community Services is hiring compassionate, honest, energetic Direct Support Professionals. This position is responsible for on-site coordination of active treatment in Adult Foster Care (AFS) or Community Living Services (CLS) homes or private residence, serving individuals with physical, cognitive, and/or behavioral disabilities. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to helping clients with cooking, cleaning, community integration, health, and personal care.

Experience working with people with disabilities (preferred but not required). We provide all required training including CPR/FA certification.
