Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional II to support adults with disabilities in a dynamic setting near Santa Barbara, CA. The role involves implementing care programs, assisting with daily living activities, and supporting treatment planning within a supportive team.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of experience, CPR/First Aid, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to obtain DSP certifications and RBT training within designated timelines.

Formación

• Minimum 1 year of direct care experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Willing to work with adults who may exhibit challenging and/or aggressive behaviors.
• Must provide hygiene care to adults served (males and females).
• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Willing to work at least 3 shifts per week (24 hrs) for part-time.
• Willing to obtain Direct Support Professional Certification Year 1 within 6 months and Year 2 within 12 months.
• Willing to obtain Registered Behavioral Technician certification within twelve months.

Responsabilidades

• Use positive reinforcement and antecedent manipulation to increase appropriate behaviors.
• Assist, plan, implement, and document programs for social, emotional, physical, and personal needs.
• Help individuals with daily living activities (cooking, cleaning, budgeting, shopping, hygiene).
• Accompany individuals on community outings and medical appointments.
• Support individuals with challenging and/or aggressive behaviors as needed.
• Provide hygienic care to both males and females.
