Devereux is seeking Direct Support Professional II to provide compassionate, person-centered support for adults with disabilities in a residential and community setting in Goleta, CA. The role includes training opportunities, a structured schedule with multiple shifts, and a pathway for career growth.

The position offers paid training (minimum 40 hours) and a competitive hourly wage of $21, with a $1 differential for overnight shifts. Benefits eligibility begins after 30 days of employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Direct Support Professional Certification Year 1 within 6 months of employment.
• DSP Certification Year 2 within 12 months (or 6 months if already DSP1).
• First Aid and CPR Certification required (can be completed post-hire).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Responsabilités

• Utilize positive reinforcement and antecedent manipulation to increase appropriate behaviors.
• Assist and support planning, implementing, and documenting programs for adults served.
• Assist and support daily living activities (cooking, cleaning, budgeting, shopping, hygiene).
• Accompany individuals on community outings, medical appointments, and activities as directed.
• Willing to work with individuals with challenging/aggressive behaviors and provide hygiene care.
