Job summary

TERI Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professional (DSP-1) candidates for a five-week Immersion program in Oceanside, CA. The role includes 1:1 substitute support for students aged 9–21, with rigorous training toward RBT certification and potential transition to RBT positions.

Starting pay is $20.00/hour, increasing to $30.00/hour after successful completion of training and certification. This is a full-time position with a comprehensive benefits package as outlined by TERI.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of experience working with individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities; managing severe behaviors.

Responsibilities

• Work as 1:1 substitute staff at the Learning Academy (ages 9-21).
• Provide active support, implement individual program plans and behavior support plans.
• Assist with interventions to protect students and those with challenging behaviors.
• Deliver direct care and training to individuals with disabilities; use BEST techniques as needed.
