Job summary

Devereux in Clementon, NJ is seeking Direct Support Professionals to support individuals in our day program. You will help ensure safety and health while guiding participants in daily living skills, such as food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and shopping, and you will supervise the planning, implementation, and documentation of care plans.

We offer second and third shift options, with starting pay at $20.42 per hour and increases based on education and experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
• Valid non‑provisional driver’s license.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Ability to attend ten days of paid onsite orientation on weekdays.
• Empathetic and team‑oriented approach to care.

Responsibilities

• Ensure individuals are safe and healthy while attending our day program.
• Supervise, coach, and assist individuals in achieving their goals for daily living skills, such as food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and shopping.
• Supervise the planning, implementation, and documentation of programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and personal needs of individuals.
• Plan and participate in community-based jobs, volunteer opportunities, and outings for individuals to be involved with.
• Schedule and transport individuals to and from day program.
