Job summary

Devereux Pocono Center is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide safe, supportive care for adults with developmental disabilities. You will assist with hygiene, daily routines, and community outings, while following program guidelines and completing tasks from the coordinator.

The role offers full-time, part-time, and on-call shifts across multiple sites. A high school diploma or GED is required, plus a valid driver's license and a compassionate, team-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Experience: One year preferred in human services or similar fields; driver's license required.
• Must be empathetic, team player, and able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hygiene and daily routines for adults with disabilities.
• Support residents during community outings and activities as directed.
• Attend required trainings and complete assignments from the coordinator.
• Maintain safety and provide respectful, person-centered care.
