Job summary

The Barber National Institute in Corry, PA is seeking a Direct Support Professional for full-time night shifts (3:00pm-11:00pm and 11:00pm-9:00am) with weekends/holidays. You will support individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living, transportation, and community participation, guided by comprehensive training provided by the organization.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Pre-hire Clearances: State Police Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Clearance (if you have not lived in PA for the past 2 years).
• Ability to pass Medication Administration and CPR/First Aid Certification
• Access to a personal mobile device for work communication

Responsibilities

• Supporting individuals with daily living needs and medication management.
• Assist individuals in becoming active community members through activities and social events.
• Provide transportation to work, appointments, or social gatherings.
• Advocate for individuals' choices and ensure a voice in care decisions.
• Collaborate with caregivers, families, and medical professionals to provide holistic care.
