Barber National Institute in Corry, PA is hiring a Direct Support Professional for part-time residential care. You will assist individuals with daily living, encourage independence, and help build community connections. Training is provided; prior experience is not required.

Responsibilities include transportation, advocacy, and teamwork with families and medical staff to ensure holistic, person-centered care. This role offers meaningful, flexible hours with benefits to support caregivers.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Pre-hire Clearances: State Police, Child Abuse, FBI (if not PA resident).
• Ability to pass Medication Administration and CPR/First Aid.
• Access to a personal mobile device for work communication.

Responsibilities

• Support daily living needs such as personal hygiene and meals.
• Assist individuals to engage in activities and social events.
• Provide transportation to work, appointments, or social events.
• Advocate for individuals’ choices and ensure their voice is heard.
• Collaborate with caregivers, families, and medical professionals.
