Job summary

Verland in Bethel Park, PA is hiring Direct Support Professionals. The role provides individualized care to residents with complex needs. Shifts are full-time (40 hours) with a 7am-3pm schedule for Sunday through Thursday, in a house setting.

DSPs will document progress, assist with meals, transportation, hygiene, and daily activities, and participate in planning social and recreational events. No prior experience required; we provide 2 weeks of paid training and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift and transfer clients safely.
• Must pass background, physical, and drug screening.
• Experience not required.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support residents' lives in a safe environment.
• Encourage skill development through activities.
• Record observations and daily progress notes.
• Plan social, home, and recreational activities.
• Assist with meals and house cleaning tasks.
• Transport clients to appointments using Verland vehicles.
• Assist with personal hygiene including bathing and dressing.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Medication administration.
