Job summary

State of South Carolina, Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, seeks a Direct Support Manager/QIDP to oversee residential care in Florence, SC. You will supervise DSP staff, ensure active treatment, and document care plans while coordinating with guardians and health professionals.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree in a human services field and 2+ years of related experience, including work with individuals

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field including, but not limited to sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, psychology, RN licensure, or Doctorate of Medicine Osteopathy.
• Two years of related experience providing professional or direct services, including at least one year with persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Direct Support Manager/QIDP for an assigned residential area of an ICF-IID, BHDD-OIDD.
• Ensure services and interventions meet identified needs daily per active treatment standards.
• Provide thorough, accurate documentation of services and maintain compliance with rules and policies.
• Develop Direct Support Professional III leadership and supervise staff; manage residential unit operations.
• Maintain communication with guardians and advocates regarding significant events and health of individuals.
• Monitor consistency among programs; resolve discrepancies in medical, dietary, and vocational aspects.
• Promote a safe, orderly environment and report significant events per policy.
• Perform additional duties as necessary.
