Job summary

Choices for People Center in Arkansas seeks a Direct Support Professional to help individuals with disabilities reach employment and community inclusion goals per their PCSP. You will provide personalized coaching, advocacy, and supports to promote meaningful work and increased independence.

Responsibilities include creating safe environments, assisting with resumes and interviews, managing transportation, and documenting progress per policy. Strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals served, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to implement Person Centered Support Plans (PCSPs) and follow instructions.
• Documentation of services using electronic systems in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a safe, respectful environment supporting individual choice and growth.
• Provide person-centered support to promote employment, independence, and inclusion.
• Deliver training and supports aligned with plans and policies.
• Assist with resumes, applications, interviews, and workplace integration.
• Provide on-the-job supports and job coaching to promote skill development and productivity.
• Coordinate services with VR/DMH or other referral sources.
• Foster relationships with employers, families, and community partners.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
