Job summary

Easter Seals New Hampshire, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Associate (DSA) to join our Community Based Services team in Rochester, NH.

This full-time role (32 hours/week) supports individuals with developmental disabilities in residential homes, promoting independence, safety and companionship. You will assist with daily living activities, personal care, mobility support and medication administration, follow care plans, and help with light housekeeping, meals and transportation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience providing direct support or direct care preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Promote independence and provide companionship in a residential home setting.
• Assist with activities of daily living including personal care and medication administration.
• Assist with lifting, transferring, and mobility support.
• Support with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Accompany clients to daily activities, appointments, and community events.
• Follow each individual's care plan.
• Complete daily documentation on a computer or tablet.
• Attend training in conflict resolution and behavioral health safety.
