Job summary

Easterseals NH is seeking a Direct Support Associate to join our Community Based Services team in Rochester, NH. This per diem role supports individuals with developmental disabilities and complex medical needs in residential homes, promoting independence and safety.

Responsibilities include daily living assistance, medication administration, transportation support, and light household tasks. Training is provided; NADSP certification training may be pursued for career advancement.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Experience providing direct support or direct care preferred.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance.

Responsibilities

• Support independence, create a safe environment, and provide companionship in a residential home.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living including personal care and medication administration.
• Aid with lifting, transferring, and mobility; perform light housekeeping, meals, and laundry.
• Accompany clients to daily activities, appointments, and community events; follow care plans.
• Complete daily documentation on computer or tablet; participate in conflict resolution and safety training.
