Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking Direct Support Professionals in Shelby, NC to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role focuses on maximizing personal goals, building natural supports, and community engagement.

Responsibilities include implementing the Person Centered Plan, providing daily living support, documenting progress, and participating in required trainings. Candidates must be 18+, with HS diploma and eligible to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Preferred NC driver's license with safe driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Ability to read, write, follow instructions and perform basic math.
• Patient, kind, and eager to help.
• Commitment to cultural competency and community values.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to interact and participate in the community.
• Learn and apply the Person Centered Plan to achieve goals.
• Provide adaptive skills training including daily living tasks.
• Offer meaningful activities aligned with preferences and goals.
• May provide transportation in company or personal vehicle.
• Participate in meal prep, housekeeping, laundry and personal care.
• Document and administer medications as required.
• Attend trainings and staff meetings; advocate for individuals' rights.
• Report concerns to supervisor promptly; follow regulatory standards.
• Be flexible and able to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate stairs.
