Job summary

National General is seeking a Direct Sales Agent Specialist to drive profitable growth by generating new business, cross-selling existing customers, and building lasting relationships. This role sells to local customers in person and over the phone, while expanding through community involvement and outside marketing.

You will develop a consistent pipeline, conduct outbound prospecting, and partner with leadership on sales and local marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience.
• P&C licensing (Preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals through new business, cross-sell, and retention.
• Build and maintain a pipeline, including local lead generation and referrals.
• Develop relationships within the community (e.g., dealerships, events, local partners) to support business growth.
• Conduct outbound prospecting and follow-ups to convert opportunities into sales.
• Partner with leadership to support sales and local marketing initiatives.
• Stay informed on products, underwriting guidelines, and market competition.
• Deliver results aligned with performance standards, compliance requirements, and customer experience expectations.
