Job summary

Oktoberagency is hiring an entry-level Email Retention Associate. This remote-first role offers real ownership from day one and a clear runway toward owning client strategy as you grow into a Senior Retention Manager.

You will own copywriting for 5–6 pod accounts based on strategy, drive project momentum, pull and format reports for decision-making, and collaborate with your Senior RM to build strong retention tactics.

Qualifications

• First exposure to project management with task and deadline tracking.
• Reliable and able to deliver without constant follow-up.

Responsibilities

• Own copywriting for pod accounts (5-6) based on the strategy set by your pod's Senior RM.
• Keep projects on track: status updates, approvals, day-to-day sequencing.
• Contribute ideas to account strategy and work with your Senior RM to build strategic instincts.
• Pull and format reports so your Senior RM can turn them into decisions.
• Spot blockers or delays before they become a client's problem.

Job description

We're one of the fastest-growing Shopify Retention Agencies in the space, and the brands we work with love us for it. Our team is small, sharp, and obsessed with turning one-time buyers into loyal customers and we're building the next generation of retention experts from the ground up. This is your way in.

This is an entry-level role into email retention - steep learning curve, real ownership from day one, and a clear runway into owning your own client strategy as a more senior Retention Manager down the line.

We're a remote-first company, so you're free to work whenever suits you best, just make sure you're online from 12–5pm CE(S)T so we can stay in sync with the team and clients. Please only apply if you can commit to this.

What you'll do:

1. Own copywriting for pod accounts (5-6) based on the strategy set by your pod's Senior RM

What we're looking for (non negotiable):

1. Solid experience with Dutch email copywriting: you know how to write copy that gets a response
2. Agency experience
3. First experience with project management: you can keep tasks, approvals and deadlines organized without things slipping
4. Reliability: you deliver what you promise, without needing to be chased
5. You own your mistakes and actually apply feedback, instead of just nodding along
6. Genuine hunger to grow into strategy and account ownership - this role is a launchpad, not a landing spot
7. You can commit to work from 12–5pm CE(S)T
8. Dutch native level
