Job summary

Pacific Scientific Energetic Materials Company in Chandler, AZ seeks a Senior Buyer to convert engineering demands into purchase orders and manage supplier commitments to keep production moving in a fast-paced aerospace and defense environment.

You will collaborate with planning, manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams, interpret ERP/MRP signals, maintain procurement documentation, and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• At least three years of purchasing experience supporting manufacturing or production, including direct-material procurement and purchase-order execution.
• Experience working in an ERP/MRP purchasing environment; no particular platform required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel, including creating and using pivot tables and analyzing purchasing data.

Responsibilities

• Execute purchase orders and blanket purchase orders; maintain data, pricing, lead times, delivery schedules, and terms.
• Interpret ERP/MRP demand signals and expedite/reschedule materials to prevent disruptions.
• Monitor supplier performance, address shortages, and coordinate cross-functionally to resolve issues.
