Job summary

North Star Home Care is seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide non-medical in-home support for seniors in Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties. This full-time role offers flexible day shifts (6 AM–6 PM, varied days) and focuses on companionship and ADLs.

You will follow care plans, document tasks, and coordinate with a supervising team while maintaining a safe, respectful environment. Benefits include paid training and health, dental, vision, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• 2+ years caregiving or home care experience.
• CPR/BLS certification (active).
• Current TB test (Quantiferon or 2-step).
• Able to pass PA background check.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional reassurance.
• Assist with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Prepare meals, light housekeeping, run errands, laundry.
• Offer non‑medical medication reminders.
• Maintain a safe environment and report safety issues.
• Document observations and completed tasks.
• Follow care plans and agency protocols.
• Communicate regularly with supervisor.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients and families.
• Track time and mileage accurately.
