Job summary

North Star Home Care is seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide high-quality non-medical in-home support for older adults in Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties. You will assist with ADLs, prepare meals, run errands, and maintain a safe home environment.

Responsibilities include documenting tasks, following care plans, and communicating with supervisors. A valid CPR/BLS and PA background check are required, along with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years caregiving or home care experience.
• Must be amenable to work within Chester, Montgomery & Delaware County.
• Valid and active CPR/BLS certification.
• TB test results available (Quantiferon or 2-step).
• Able to pass PA background checks.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong English reading, writing, and communication.

• Assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility.
• Prepare meals, light housekeeping, errands, laundry.
• Offer non-medical medication reminders.
• Maintain a safe environment and report safety issues.

• Follow care plans and agency protocols.
• Communicate regularly with supervisor.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients and families.
• Track time and mileage accurately.
