Job summary

North Star Home Care is seeking a compassionate caregiver to provide non-medical in-home care for seniors across Chester, Montgomery, and Delaware Counties, PA. This full-time role features flexible day shifts (6 AM–6 PM) and opportunities to make a meaningful difference in clients' daily lives.

Pay ranges from $18 to $20 per hour with benefits including paid training, health/dental/vision insurance, a 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• 2+ years caregiving or home care experience.
• Strong English communication skills.
• CPR/BLS certification (active).
• Current TB test (Quantiferon or 2-step).
• Able to pass PA background check.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship, conversation, and emotional reassurance.
• Assist with ADLs (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility).
• Prepare meals, light housekeeping, errands, laundry.
• Offer non-medical medication reminders.
• Maintain a safe environment and report safety issues.
• Document observations and completed tasks.
• Follow care plans and agency protocols.
• Communicate regularly with supervisor.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients and families.
• Track time and mileage accurately.
