Job summary

Evergreen Life Services in Tennessee is seeking a Direct Support Professional I to maintain a healthy, safe, and therapeutic environment for individuals served, following their care plans.

You will assist individuals with medication, daily living activities, budgeting, meals, and transportation; you will also complete required documentation and support behavioral programs under supervision.

Qualifications

• Read, write, and communicate in English, and understand instructions and reporting requirements.
• Must pass drug screen and background check.
• Valid driver’s license preferred for insurance purposes.
• Ability to perform basic computer data entry and timesheet approval.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a healthy, safe, and therapeutic environment.
• Assist individuals with medication and treatment plans.
• Help with daily living activities and home maintenance tasks.
• Assist with budgeting, banking, and shopping for the individuals served.
• Prepare meals and handle food purchases as requested.
• Complete documentation per state agency policies and procedures.
• Support behavioral programs and progress toward goals in care plans.
• Provide transportation as needed for appointments and activities.
