Job summary

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts is seeking a Developmental Services Worker II (Direct Care Worker II) for the Southeast Residential Services in Bridgewater, MA. This full-time role provides direct care to individuals with developmental and physical disabilities in a residential setting, including crisis intervention and support for daily living tasks.

Position requires MAP exposure with CPR/First Aid certification; shift includes overnight hours, overtime when needed, and a bi-weekly pay

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of direct support experience.
• Knowledge of medication administration and CPR/First Aid.
• MAP certification required after training; CPR/First Aid certification.
• Ability to read/write basic English and communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with habilitative, behavioral and recreational programs.
• Perform crisis intervention when necessary.
• Monitor DSW I staff to ensure advocacy and respect for individuals.
• Attend review meetings and maintain confidential records.
• Transport individuals to work, appointments and outings.
• Dispense medications in accordance with laws and regulations.
• Help individuals meet personal care and nutritional needs.
• Ensure policies, procedures and services are followed during shifts.
• Complete cooking, housekeeping and yard duties as required.
