Qualifications

• At least one year of full-time or equivalent experience providing direct support to individuals with developmental/intellectual, emotional or physical disabilities.
• An Associate’s degree or higher in a human services field may substitute for the required experience.
• Current and valid Class D Motor Vehicle Operator’s License is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in meeting personal care and nutritional needs.
• Support individuals in making life choices and uphold their rights.
• Provide and supervise daily activities and ensure staff act as advocates.
• Provide leisure activities and transportation to work, appointments, and recreation.
• Oversee health and safety as shift supervisor and administer medications as needed.
• Communicate with medical staff and accompany individuals to appointments.
