Job summary

Commonwealth of Massachusetts is seeking a Direct Care Worker III in Lexington, MA. This role provides direct care services to individuals with developmental disabilities, supporting daily living and community integration.

The position requires 2+ years of related experience, a valid Class D license, MAP certification, and CPR/First Aid training upon completion. Evening shifts with mandatory overtime in a 24/7 emergency plan are included.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the comprehensive service needs of persons with developmental/intellectual disabilities and their families/guardians.
• Ability to give written or verbal instructions clearly and to plan, assign and coordinate activities of others.
• Must possess current and valid Class D Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.
• MAP certification is required; CPR and First Aid certification must be obtained after training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing habilitative, behavioral and recreational programs; perform related duties including cooking, housekeeping and medication dispensing in accordance with laws and regulations.
• Communicate with individuals served to promote growth, human rights and community integration.
• Assist and support individuals in understanding and exercising their rights.
• Maintain confidential records and complete required paperwork.
