Job summary

RTR seeks a dedicated Direct Care Staff member in Norwell, MA to support adults with developmental disabilities in a day habilitation setting. You will work as part of an interdisciplinary team, recording progress data in real time and helping implement plans from OT/PT/Speech/Nursing.

Responsibilities include coaching peers, transportation as needed, assisting with daily living tasks, and maintaining safety standards while upholding RTR’s Positive Behavior Support approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and the internet.
• Successful completion of all state and agency mandated trainings.
• Must be willing to authorize a Criminal History Background Check (CORI).
• TB screening within the previous 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Record data for established goals and behavior plans in real time.
• Write monthly progress notes for assigned members.
• Implement plans from OT/PT/Speech/Nursing/Behavior.
• Lead group and assist new staff in tasks and activities.
• Provide transportation to activities as needed.
• Assist with direct care and dietary needs as required.
