Job summary

Eisenhower Center in Manchester, MI is seeking a Direct Care Associate to support residents, transport to appointments, assist with ADLs, and redirect challenging behaviors. You will help maintain a safe environment and collaborate with clinical staff to enhance residents’ daily living and independence.

The role is onsite in Manchester with an hourly rate of $18.40. Benefits begin after 30 days, including health, dental, and vision coverage.

Qualifications

• A minimum education of high school diploma or GED.
• Valid Driver License and reliable transportation.
• Previous experience in healthcare field
• Experience with providing direct care to individuals with disabilities.
• Ability to pass background checks as required by regulatory agencies
• Ability to follow instructions, work independently and demonstrate patience and empathy.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise residents and support daily living activities.
• Transport residents to appointments and documentations; advocate when needed.
• Redirect negative behaviors and maintain a safe environment for residents.
• Promote independence, inclusion and community engagement for residents.
• Assist individuals with disabilities in acquiring, retaining and improving daily living skills.
• Carry out intervention plans and strategies directed by clinical staff (behavioral, speech, therapy, etc.).
