Job summary

Berkshire County Arc is looking for Direct Care Professionals to support individuals in daily living activities in Pittsfield, MA. This part-time role requires driving, empathy, and strong communication to help residents achieve personal goals and independence.

The position offers a $500 sign-on and all shifts are available. Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and at least one year of Direct Care experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
• Minimum 1 year of Direct Care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal care.
• Maintain accurate records and reports as required.

Responsibilities:

Direct Care Professionals assists individuals in all areas of daily living including personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and bringing to appointments and recreational activities. This position works closely with individuals to help them to become as independent as possible and to meet their personal goals. Staff must maintain accurate and complete records, reports and data necessary to meet the requirements of BCArc and any certifying or regulatory agency. Effective communication with other staff, family members and Individuals is required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license, Insured vehicle
• Must have 1+ year(s) previous Direct Care experience
