Job summary

Berkshire County Arc in Great Barrington, MA seeks Direct Care Professionals to support individuals in daily living within a residential setting. You will assist with personal care, housekeeping, meals and accompanying to appointments, while helping individuals pursue independence.

Responsibilities include accurate record-keeping and teamwork with staff, families and program participants to meet personal goals and regulatory requirements. Sign-on bonus offered and shifts available.

Qualifications

• Must have 1+ year(s) Direct Care experience.
• High School Diploma or GED and 18+ years of age.
• Valid driver s license and insured vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and appointments.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and data as required by BCArc and regulatory agencies.
• Communicate effectively with staff, family members and individuals.

Responsibilities:

Direct Care Professionals assists individuals in all areas of daily living including personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and bringing to appointments and recreational activities. This position works closely with individuals to help them to become as independent as possible and to meet their personal goals. Staff must maintain accurate and complete records, reports and data necessary to meet the requirements of BCArc and any certifying or regulatory agency. Effective communication with other staff, family members and Individuals is required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license, Insured vehicle
• Must have 1+ year(s) previous Direct Care experience
