Job summary

Berkshire County Arc is seeking Direct Care Professionals to assist individuals with daily living, personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and attendance at appointments and recreational activities. You will support independence and document records to meet regulatory requirements.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, 18+, valid driver’s license with an insured vehicle, and 1+ year Direct Care experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
• Minimum 1 year of Direct Care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities including personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and appointments/activities.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and data per BCArc and regulatory requirements.
• Communicate effectively with staff, families and individuals.

Responsibilities:

Direct Care Professionals assists individuals in all areas of daily living including personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and bringing to appointments and recreational activities. This position works closely with individuals to help them to become as independent as possible and to meet their personal goals. Staff must maintain accurate and complete records, reports and data necessary to meet the requirements of BCArc and any certifying or regulatory agency. Effective communication with other staff, family members and Individuals is required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license, Insured vehicle
• Must have 1+ year(s) previous Direct Care experience
