Job summary

Berkshire County Arc is seeking Direct Care Professionals to support individuals in daily living activities in a residential setting. The role involves personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and escorting to appointments and activities, with a focus on promoting independence and personal goals.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 18+ years old, a valid driver’s license with an insured vehicle, and at least 1 year of direct care experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 18 years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
• 1+ year Direct Care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in daily living including personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and attending appointments and recreational activities.
• Help individuals become as independent as possible and meet personal goals.
• Maintain accurate records and communicate with staff, family members and individuals.

Responsibilities:

Direct Care Professionals assists individuals in all areas of daily living including personal care, housekeeping, cooking, and bringing to appointments and recreational activities. This position works closely with individuals to help them to become as independent as possible and to meet their personal goals. Staff must maintain accurate and complete records, reports and data necessary to meet the requirements of BCArc and any certifying or regulatory agency. Effective communication with other staff, family members and Individuals is required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED and 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license, Insured vehicle
• Must have 1+ year(s) previous Direct Care experience
